Results Learning's 2017 Summer Camp and Programs

Executive Functioning Skills
C.E.O. Summer Camp

Session One: July 10th to July 21st
Session Two: July 24th to August 4th

This one-of-a-kind day camp provides incoming 6th through 8th-grade students with an introduction to skills which are not typically part of the standard middle school curriculum. The camp centers around expanding each camper’s perspective on the importance of planning ahead, identifying and eliminating factors which stand in the way of productivity, discovering the most effective modes of learning and communicating in school and in real-life situations. The camp also fosters students’ social skills by structured activities that require collaboration and cooperation with peers.

Each morning instructors will introduce and model practical strategies to improve planning, organizational, time management and self-advocacy skills. Campers will then have time to explore, experiment with and practice the strategies based on their learning styles in a classroom-like setting.

In the afternoons, campers will be immersed in captivating indoor and outdoor activities which require planning, communicating and the execution of the skills taught in the morning. Additionally, campers will enjoy traditional camp activities such as a field trip to a Rockies game, nature walk, cook off, swimming and more.

Location: Denver Academy 4400 E Iliff Ave, Denver, CO 80222

Help your child take control of the upcoming school year. Results Learning’s C.E.O. (Concrete, Effective, and Organizational Strategies) Summer Academy will prepare your 7th through 10th grader for the upcoming school year by providing effective organizational, planning and self-advocacy strategies which will make school and homework easier.

C.E.O. Summer Academy is a two-hour a day program which specifically teaches strategies to improve executive functioning skills in school and enable your child to begin the new school year confident and prepared.

Your child will learn these skills through experimenting and modeling on a daily basis. In addition, students will design and create a self-advocacy presentation which includes the following:  goals for the new school year, a plan to accomplish the goals, the tools needed to be successful and how to ask teachers for support. Your child will work on this project actively throughout the session, utilizing planning and organizational skills to successfully complete it by the end of the program.
